JAVA ABODE: WOOD CULTURE
Teak forests are growing luxuriantly & native on the islands Java, it is considered as indigenous in Indonesia. Almost all teak forests in Java are plantation forests established by East India colonial government in 1880. The colonial government ship building industry need it as main material. Management of teak forests together with other species, like mindi was introduced more than 100 years ago in Indonesia. Plantations of these valuable tree species are still extensive and produce large volumes of wood on Indonesia’s dark fertile soil. The use of mindi & Teak wood in our factory for the last 23 years are mostly for interior and furniture which benefit the customer with exotic vibes & magnificent longevity. Our 2024 collection reflects Javanese Culture for it was inspired by an old tradition of Javanese people bringing offering with winnowing tray on their head. The design also includes coloring method to show how Javanese people love their wood exotic grain.
